Operation Kiwi: The Planning

I'll fly to the Kiwi Land tonight. The excitement has crept in since 2 weeks ago (or more I can't even remember). Tickets, hotels, motorhomes, ferry, all set and booked. In less than 12 hours I'll be flying to Auckland. Yippie!

Operation: Kiwi logo made by my friend. Visit his page at www.cameradphoto.com and sharkie.cameradphoto.com
There'll be 5 of us: me and fleo, the couple behind the cameradphoto and another dear friend of ours joining us from Sydney. This is going to be an epic journey, with winter slowly comes near the end of our trip.

What the heck are we getting ourselves into? :P

Only me that has ever been to NZ (and it's like almost 20 years ago with only few recollections of what's happened back then) so we prepare ourselves very well. Just don't wanna miss anything that we could get (and eat xD).

Our trip will take 14 days, starts at Auckland, ends at Christchurch. Thanks to Qantas promo, we could get a fairly cheap fare and don't have to take a detour to SG/KL like some other airlines that offer the trip there.

Am praying for the good weather (less windy days, more sunny days, no rains please?) and no accident whatsoever there.

Oh, and here are our itinerary plan:
Day 1: Auckland
Day 2: Hobbiton - Lake Taupo
Day 3: Wellington
Day 4: Ferry to Picton - Kaikoura - Arthur's Pass
Day 5: Arthur's Pass - Greymouth
Day 6: Fox Glacier
Day 7: Wanaka - Glenorchy
Day 8: Queenstown
Day 9: Milford Sound
Day 10: Otago Peninsula - Moeraki Boulders
Day 11: Lake Pukaki - Lake Tekapo
Day 12: Tasman Glacier
Day 13: Christchurch
Day 14: Fly back to Jakarta

Looks ambitious, isn't it? We'll be staying at campsites using motorhomes to go, sleep, cook and dine. We only stay at hotels at our first and last night since adding 2 more days for renting the motorhomes costs more or less the same as paying the hotels. Well, we opt for hotels because it's surely more space to move and take shower. Hahahaha :P

Will update more in 2+ weeks! :D
